Ghana Health Service Calls for Placement of 2020 Nurses and Midwives

In an exciting update for healthcare professionals, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) has announced the placement of 6,015 nurses and midwives from the 2020 batch who applied for postings through the Ministry of Health portal. The announcement was made on November 12, 2024, and it invites eligible nurses and midwives to report to their preferred regional health directorates with their certificates and AIN/PIN from the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

The placement process will occur over several days, with each day assigned to a specific cadre:

  • Monday, November 18 – Tuesday, November 19, 2024: Enrolled Nurses are to report for placement.
  • Wednesday, November 20, 2024: Community Health Nurses, Registered Community Health Nurses, and Public Health Nurses will complete their placements.
  • Thursday, November 21, 2024: Registered General Nurses and Midwives are expected to report.
  • Friday, November 22, 2024: Nursing and Midwifery Officers will conclude the process.
