The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has officially launched its 2024 enlistment process for the Regular Career Course and Short Service Commission Officers. If you’ve been waiting for this chance, now’s the time to gear up and get started!

This news was published in the Daily Graphic newspaper on September 13, 2024, and the Ghanaian Times newspaper on September 16, 2024. Here’s a quick rundown of what you need to know to apply.

How to Apply

First things first, you’ll need to purchase a scratch card for the online application. These cards are available at designated Ghana Post offices across the country and will cost you GHC 350.00. Once you have the card, head over to http://apply.mil.gh to access the application portal.

Important dates:

  • Deadline: Online submissions must be completed by Friday, October 11, 2024. Don’t wait until the last minute!

A Word of Caution: No Middlemen

GAF wants to make it crystal clear – they do NOT employ middlemen or agents for the enlistment process. There’s been a surge in scams recently, and they’re urging everyone to avoid paying money to anyone who claims they can “secure” your enlistment. This includes individuals on social media promising miracles in exchange for cash.

If you come across anyone asking for payment to assist you in joining GAF, report them immediately to the nearest military installation or Police Station. Paying such individuals not only wastes your money, but you could also be complicit in a fraudulent act. GAF takes this matter seriously and wants all applicants to avoid falling for these traps.
