Nii Funny Performing & Making Money From My Song Without Consent – Bandybwoy
BandyBwoy |
Ghanaian musician Bandybwoy has accused Nii Funny of performing his ‘Go Down’ hit track without his knowledge.
In an exclusive interview with Prince Kwesi Dadzie aka Mr Handsome, the musician said Nii Funny, who featured on the song is making money and performing at shows despite him being the originator of the song.
According to Bandybwoy, he paid for the studio recording for the song and even paid to get the video on 4Syte TV.
Bandybwoy was also furious because Nii Funny went round telling people it was his favour that saw the video played on 4Syte TV.
He was disappointed Nii Funny has failed to recognise him as the owner and making money out of it.
When called to react to the claims by Bandybwoy, Nii Funny declined to comment.
He has released another hit track ‘Amen’ but the song did not feature any artiste and in justifying why he did not feature an artiste, Bandybwoy said he has learnt bitter lessons from his feature with Nii Funny.
He also disclosed Nii Funny threw shots at him on Facebook for a month after he confronted him and demanded answers on why he [Nii Funny] performed his [Bandybwoy’s] song without his consent.
He told the host he had plans of remixing the song but has rescind the decision.
Bandybwoy stated his song with Nii Funny was a feature not a collaboration because he paid him to be on the song with an undisclosed amount and also had to pay for the expenses which included shooting of the video and his transportation.
