Female artistes in Ghana and the world have relentlessly voice out their challenges as musicians. Female Songstress AqosuaGH has detailed her ordeal as a young female artiste and how depressing and challenging it has been for her.

AqosuaGH is an afropop and higlife singer who hails from the central region. She had her basic and Senior level education at Wesley Girls Junior high school and Academy of Christ the King respectively. She was born Mavis Akosua Kafui Quaicoe.

AqosuaGh entered the industry last year with two great songs titled “Come Closer” and “Y”. She has since been actively calving a niche for herself and her brand.

In her conversation on The Closet Show, she detailed her challenges and how she is trying to fight ahead.

AqosuaGH lamented on how female Artistes are always been pressured to give what they have to get assistance. She disclosed that her major challenge is getting promoter to help her push her brand.
She stated “I have been through the hands of many promoters and most demand sex as a compensation for their help even when money is paid”.

It could be felt from her voice during the conversation that, as a young artiste, her other challenge has been finances. She disclosed the expenses she incurs to produce a song and the most draining one is promoting it to reach the masses.

Her ordeal is seen to be one of the greatest challenges faced by many upcoming artiste and female artiste witnesses this the most.

AqosuaGH has the dream of featuring artistes like Kofi Kinaata, Teephlow, Eshun, Wages, Twitch and many others.
