Ghanaian folk legend Israel Maweta is back again with another fresh tune, “Lorlor Nye”, straight off his upcoming album that’s currently wrapping up in the studio. This makes it the second single he’s dropped in just one month — and just like the first, it’s a beautifully crafted traditional love song.
With help from his manager and producer Elorm Beenie, Israel gives the classic Borborbor vibe a serious upgrade. The production is crisp and modern, blending in smooth touches of jazz, highlife, and a dash of Kpanlogo to keep things exciting and globally appealing.
The track features some major talent too — Dela Botri, the internationally acclaimed flutist, jumped in on the production along with Bless Saxx and BoneKeyz, adding even more flavor to the mix.
“Lorlor Nye” means “My Love” or “My Sweetheart” in Ewe, and the song definitely lives up to its name. It’s a sweet, soulful tune with traditional roots and a modern twist — perfect for both the culture lovers and the global music crowd.
It drops exactly a month after his previous single “Paulina”, also produced by Elorm Beenie, who’s not only managing Israel Maweta but also serving as the executive producer for both tracks.
