The first-ever Street Jamboree in Juapong exceeded all predictions, attracting numerous music and entertainment enthusiasts during the weekend. The event, orchestrated by Champs Hub and executed by Top Ravers, took place on July 1st and was met with an enthusiastic reception from the community. The day commenced with a Health Walk, setting the scene for an exciting and memorable experience.

Participants praised the meticulous planning and arrangements, especially considering it was the first edition of Street Jamboree. The organizers, led by Fredrick Kofi Deladem Dro (Dross), Deputy Head of Production, emphasized their commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all attendees.

Security was top-notch, with accolades extended to the Ghana Police Service, the Military, and special units like Champs Intelligence for maintaining a secure environment.

As night fell, thousands filled the streets, witnessing historic performances by artists like Keeny Ice, Abbi Ima, and Bryt Gee, among others. Renowned DJs, including award-winning DJ Stephen and DJ Sticker, kept the energy levels high throughout the night. The event also featured talented hypemen and MCs, with the announcement of the renaming of the DJ of the Year category to “Champs DJ of the Year” in honor of Champs Hub’s contributions to culture creation.

At the media event, the Head of Production at Champs Hub, Jonilar, expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved, including Juapong, the dedicated team, and well-wishers. The success of the maiden edition has ensured the event’s future, with next year’s Street Jamboree already eagerly anticipated.
