The hiphop single elaborates the challenge he faces as a messenger sensitizing the public with thought-provoking verses against the “churchly
lies”.
Amidst the threats from anonymous calls and text messages, the rapper gives hope of not chickening out of this calling with a verse “What’s the beauty of the game if the ball is off the field“
Phrimpong has given hints on releasing an EP, The Salary, but its unclear if “The Messenger” is a prelude to the project.
Song was produced by Emrys, and music video directed by Fred Gees Concept with a clear inscription to culprits to “Hate the message, not the messenger“
