“A Country Called Ghana” by Lil Win Nominated for Prestigious German Film Festival
Ghanaian actor and musician Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, has earned a nomination for his latest movie, “A Country Called Ghana,” which is set to be screened at the 2024 Nollywood Film Festival in Germany.
Directed by Frank Fiifi Ghabin and executively directed by Lil Win himself, this Ghana-Nigeria collaboration brings together top talents from both countries to entertain and educate viewers on the importance of preserving their heritage. The film features big names like Ramsey Nouah, Charles Awurum, Victor Osuagwu (aka ‘Awilo Sharp Sharp’), Paa George, and Sweet Mimi, among others.
“A Country Called Ghana” is aiming for a spot on Netflix and hopes to gain global recognition. Being nominated and screened at the Nollywood Film Festival is a major milestone. The festival, held annually, showcases the best of Nollywood to the German audience, promoting international trade and exchange opportunities.
This year’s event will be at GOETHE University, Purple Cinema, in Frankfurt AM Main, Germany, on August 3rd, 2024.
